How hot does DryDeck™ get in the sun?
DryDeck is cool to the touch. We have a special coating that allows heat to reflect off of the system. Even in direct sunlight, DryDeck is 10 degrees cooler than regular wood and up to 20 degrees cooler than most composites.
What is Xccent DryDeck™ made of?
DryDeck is made up of premium grade aluminum alloy and is hand selected for optimum appearance and performance. You shouldn't have to trust decking that was originally designed for boat flooring. DryDeck's unique components are engineered and manufactured specifically for residential decks.

Can this be installed by a DIY 'er?
Yes, this product can be sold direct and we do have an installation guide that comes with every DryDeck purchase.
Will DryDeck™ need a lot of maintenance and does it corrode?
No, there is no need to paint or stain DryDeck - ever. Aluminum resists corrosion, never rusts and maintains its structural integrity for a lifetime. The superior-wear surface of DryDeck provides greater value to the homeowner over time, with its resistance to scratching, chipping, and color fading, and non-slip texture for added safety.

How fast is installation?
The unique interlocking planks make installing DryDeck a project that takes hours not days. Once installed the planks remain stable and won't slide or shift, providing a solid and permanent feel underfoot. Unlike alternative watertight systems, DryDeck planks combine the decking and the watertight seal in one. This simple ONE STEP system to achieve a truly watertight deck saves time, labor and expense.
What type of framing is required for DryDeck™ Decking?
DryDeck is designed for use with a 24" O.C. framing pattern and is compatible with traditional wood framing systems or as an alternative, Xccent's exclusive SteelDeck Framing System can be used to provide a completely maintenance free deck from the ground up.
Has Xccent's DryDeck™ Watertight System been tested for use as a decking material?
Xccent DryDeck Watertight System is ICC-Registered ICC-ES # ESR-2010
***ACQ will corrode aluminum, please use membrane over joists and all areas where ACQ lumber will come in direct contact with DryDeck Decking. This step is not required with the use of Xccent SteelDeck Framing System!
